Most students find it difficult making the transition from studying A Levels at home to university level education. After the euphoria of the first few weeks, the prospect of studying advanced mathematics and physics can seem a little daunting. It tends to be more challenging for physics students as they have to learn mathematics as well as physics.

The first formal exams are sat before Christmas, and can be a bit of a shock to the system, coupled with a New Year's resolution to catch up and work harder going forward.
